English title:	Dosimetric characteristics of the main thermoluminescent glow peak of aquamarine.
Spanish title:	Caracter�sticas dosim�tricas del principal pico de brillo termoluminiscente de la aguamarina.
English abstract:	The dosimetric response of the main thermoluminescent glow peak of aquamarine, cyan variety of beryl (Be3Al2(SiO3)6), is reported. Samples were irradiated at room temperature using a 90Sr/90Y β source at a dose rate of 0.10 Gys-1. Measurements made at a heating rate of 1�C/s after irradiation of 1 to 100 Gy of β radiation show a main peak at 75�C followed by three secondary peaks at 113, 188 and 306�C respectively. The main peak dose response is linear within the first 10 Gy, but tends to sublinearity as the dose extends up to 100 Gy of β radiation. The peak fades with the delay between irradiation and measurement to about 14% of its initial value 600 s after irradiation. Reproducibility analysis shows that the material reproduces its response under identical experimental conditions with an uncertainty of 0.8% after a beta dose irradiation of 10 Gy.
Spanish abstract:	La respuesta dosim�trica del principal pico de brillo termoluminiscente de la aguamarina, variedad cian de berilo (Be3Al2(SiO3)6), es reportada. Las muestras fueron irradiadas a temperatura ambiente utilizando una fuente β de 90Sr/90Y a una tasa de dosis de 0,10 Gys-1. Las mediciones realizadas a una tasa de calentamiento de 1�C/s tras la irradiaci�n de 1 a 100 Gy de radiaci�n β muestran un pico principal a 75�C seguido de tres picos secundarios a 113, 188 y 306�C respectivamente. La respuesta con la dosis del pico principal es lineal dentro de los primeros 10 Gy, pero tiende a la sublinealidad a medida que la dosis se extiende hasta los 100 Gy de radiaci�n β. El pico se desvanece con el retraso entre la irradiaci�n y la medici�n alrededor del 14% de su valor inicial 600 s despu�s de la irradiaci�n. El an�lisis de reproducibilidad muestra que el material reproduce su respuesta en condiciones experimentales id�nticas con una incertidumbre del 0,8% despu�s de una irradiaci�n de dosis beta de 10 Gy.
